Abstract: The in vitro study was conducted to evaluate efficacy of antibiotics against Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria causing bacterial leaf spot of chilli. Three antibiotics viz., Streptocycline, Aureofungin, Kasugamycine and fungicide Copper oxychloride, (each @250 and 500) were evaluated in vitro against Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria causing bacterial leaf spot of chilli. All the treatments significantly inhibited bacterial growth of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria over control.
