Molecular markers in genetic diversity and hybrid purity testing in rice
Author(s): Chanchal Bhargava and Niraj Tripathi
Abstract: Rice is an important food crop in the world. At present the availability of an array of molecular markers allows easy identification of genetic variability present among genotypes as well as species. There are enormous examples of use of molecular markers for hybrid/genetic purity testing in rice crop. The present review highlights applications of molecular markers for genetic diversity analysis as well as genetic/hybrid purity testing in rice.
