Abstract: Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) at 150 ppm showed more percentage of germination at 30 DAP (64) followed by water soaking (59) compared to gibberellic acid (GA3) as 53. GA3 showed statistically significant effect on tillering (73,000/ha) at 75 DAP and shoot population (1, 13,000/ha) at 120 DAP followed by NAA compared to untreated control. GA3 also recorded numerically high cane length, cane girth and single cane weight. Sett treatment showed a significant effect on purity percentage (NAA 150 ppm as 88.43%), cane yield (GA3 150 ppm as 72.60 t/ha) and CCS yield (GA3 150 ppm as 8.27 t/ha) but not on number of millable canes (‘000/ha), brix, pol reading and percent juice sucrose. Foliar application of gibberellic acid 150 ppm at 45 DAP showed high number of millable canes (86,010 /ha), more pol reading (> 69.50) and cane yield (82.4 t/ha). High percent yield increase was observed with plant growth promoters at 45 DAP (6.21) followed by 30 DAP (5.53) compared to 60 DAP (2.23) compared to control.
