Abstract: A detailed soil fertility status of RRTTS and KVK farm, Dhenkanal was investigated. The soil reaction was found to be acidic. EC was found to be in safe range for crop production. SOC status was found to vary between medium to high. Available soil N, Bray’s P of the study area were found to be low to medium and that of available K content varied between medium to high. Available soil S content was found to be low. Soil micronutrient content such as Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and B were found to be sufficient. Soil acidity was found to be the major crop production constraint of the study area. So, application of liming materials along with application of soil test based fertilizers and manures will help in optimising crop productivity as well as sustaining soil health.
