Abstract: Six test insecticides, viz., Rynaxypyr 20SC, Spinosad 45SC, Emamectin benzoate 5SG, Flubendiamide 480SC, Thiamethoxam 25WG, Cartap hydrochloride 50SP were evaluated against brinjal fruit and shoot borer Leucinodes orbonalis Guen. during kharif 2016 and summer 2017 at AICRP on Vegetables, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Bhubaneswar with brinjal variety cv.“utkal anushree”.Three sprays using a knapsack sprayer was given. The results revealed that highest fruit yield was obtained in plots treated with flubendiamide and rynaxypyr followed by spinosad. After using these insecticides a good benefit cost ratio was obtained with Flubendiamide 480SC in both the seasons
