Effect of irrigation schedule and bio-regulators on yield attributes and yield of mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czern & Coss] crop

Author(s): Ashish Shivran, BJ Patel and Manoj Gora

Abstract: The study was undertaken at Agronomy Instructional Farm, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar during Rabi seasons of 2012-13 and 2013-14. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with sixteen treatments and four replications. The treatments were different levels of irrigation and different bio-regulators. It is revealed from the data that the number of siliquae per plant, the number of seeds per siliqua, 1000-seed weight (g), Seed yield per plant (g), Seed Yield (kg ha-1), Stover Yield (kg ha-1), Biological Yield (kg ha-1) were significantly influenced by irrigation schedules and bio- regulators, which is highest in I2 (IW: CPE 0.9) and C1 (Benzyl adenine 45 ppm) respectively. It is also found that Harvest index was significantly influenced by irrigation schedule and significantly not influenced by bio-regulators.
