Inhibition and stimulation response of selected crop on the application of leaf leachate of Drek

Abstract: The allelopathic research is undertaken to observe the influences of leaf leachates of Melia composita on the seed germination and early growth of mustard in laboratory conditions. The various concentrations (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 100%) of leachates were tried to investigate their effects on seed germination and growth of radicle and plumule. The results showed that the leachates of Melia leaves have inhibitory effects on seed germination and radicle growth at various concentrations with some stimulation at 10% leachates concentration.
