Abstract: Osthol, Heraclenin and Oxypeucedanin were isolated from the hexane extract of Prangos pabularia and the structure was confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. The biotransformation of osthol epoxide and Heraclenin was performed using Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The structure of these compounds were analysed by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy. The result reveals that the reduction has taken by in epoxides by ring opening of the epoxide.
