Abstract: The field experiment was conducted on the farm of Pomology Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, VNMKV, Parbhani during Hasta bahar 2016 and 2017 in order to investigate bio-efficacy of newer insecticides against pomegranate aphid. The results revealed that treatment with thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 50 g a.i./ha was found most superior in reducing the population of aphids followed by flonicamide 50 WG @ 75 g a.i./ha and fipronil 5 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha. As regard the safe of insecticides to natural enemies, the treatment comprised of lambda cyhalothrin 5 EC @ 15 g a.i./ha and fipronil 5 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha were highly toxic to coccinellids and chrysopids, whereas, buprofezin 25 SC @ 250 g a.i./ha and cyantraniliprole 10.26 OD 75 g a.i./ha were found comparatively safer.
