Abstract: Present investigation was carried out to identify the terminal heat tolerant genotypes using different tolerance indices. Study was planned with 36 spring wheat genotypes, grown in two viz., timely (E1) and late (E2) sowings in years viz., 2016-17 and 2017-18. The analysis of variance revealed the presence of sufficient variability among the genotypes for all the traits under two sowings in both crop seasons. Considering the prevailed high temperature during the crop season E2 environment was considered as heat stress environment. Six genotypes viz., DW1630, DW1636, HD3266, HD3090, DW1635 and DW1638 emerged as terminal heat tolerant genotypes based on their consistence performance in seven different selection indices in both years viz., susceptibility index, mean productivity index, geometric mean productivity index, tolerance index, stress tolerance index, yield index and yield stability index.
