Influence of weather factors on incidence of yellow stem borer in aromatic rice under agro-climatic condition of Jharkhand

Abstract: Field experiment was conducted to study the influence of weather factors on incidence of yellow stem borer, Scirophaga incertula under agro-climatic condition of Jharkhand.it was revealed that incidence of YSB started after one or two week of transplanting and it caused dead heart in vegetative stage and white ear head in reproductive stage of the crop. Dead heart had significant correlation with maximum temperature while white ear head had negative effect.
